  1. I don't know how the Aussie Army does it, but in the US you can't be on medication and need a letter from a psychiatrist saying you're better. You might get a better answer in the Australian forum. Honestly I'd recommend the RAAF, I work with some of those folks in Iraq and they're top notch. Best of Luck.

  2. Not necessarily - But the interviewing Psychologist during your assessment day will definitely ask you a lot about that and hear you out before making a judgement. It's up to them.

    I'll be honest though - the Psychologists have very stringent standards and they knock back and defer a lot of applicants.
