Can you just go into guitar center and pick up any guitar? Or do you have to ask an employee to get it for you

I don't want to go in there and get flipped out on by some guy working there because I didn't ask or something.

Yes, you can go into guitarcenter and pick up any guitar and play it.  The only time I ever had to ask an employee about anything was about the price, getting a cable so I could play it on an amp, or If it was too high for me to reach.  This is the great part about guitarcenter.  You can go in, pick up any guitar, play it on any amp, and see how much you like the instrument.
