Can you just walk into Pearl Vision and buy contacts?

Question

Can you just go to the place you bought your glasses from and buy temporary contacts or do you need to order them or have an eye appointment first? (I go to Pearl Vision.)

Based on my own experience, you'll need to make another eye appt to get contacts.  The physician will need do some measuring and fitting first on your eyes and then they'll probably start you off with a trial pair  to make sure you are comfortable with the contact lenses

You need to have a prescription from within the last year in order to get contacts.

You'll need to see your ophthalmologist in order to get a prescription for contact lenses.

You need to have an appointment.  A lot of places won't sell you contacts even if you have a prescription from another location.
