Question:

Can you just wear one contact on one eye?

I just put in my contacts and my right eye was getting really irritated. I blinked several times to maybe adjust the contact a bit but then I had to rub my eye. It started to get red and I really couldn't handle it anymore so I tried taking the contact out. I finally managed to and what I got was half of it. It ripped apart.

Would it be bad if I just wore one contact for my left eye for a few days until I get new ones?

I still see well...it's just my right eye vision is blurry...

?

By the way, I use Acuvue Oasis.

  1. yes it is possible. Some people have different effects with wearing just one contact. You may experience a headache or become dizzy. in that case, i would take it out and wear your glasses. However,  i know someone who only wears one contact all the time and she is not effected by it at all.

  2. When you need bifocals and want to wear contacts, alot of time you will wear just one contact. So no, it will not hurt, but it will make one eye weaker. So get new ones ASAP.

  3. Um no can't do that. Prescription contacts are given and meant to be used together, your eyes are used together. If you wear 1 you can damage your eye, give yourself a bad headache etc etc. Don't do it wear your glasses

  4. Yes! I have done that many times! In fact I have worn two lefts and two rights on different occasions!!
