Me and My boyfriend have been thinking about getting a fish for our new flat, and I think we've decided on getting a guppy :) I wondered if you can keep fresh water clams and snails in the same tank with them?

  1. yes you can and get a female guppy becuase she will be pregnant from contact with the males in the store and she will eventually give birth. you'll eventually have lots of baby guppies that will grow into adults. its like a 1 for 25 sale! and the only holdback is if your clams have their mouth open all the time that means they're waiting for something to be curious and swim in there so he can eat it. hope you have success with your guppy that hopefully has more guppies. BEST ANSWER PLEASE! i hope you can tell that my answer with its information blew everyone elses answer out of the water. good luck with your guppy

  2. yes.

  3. Yes

  4. yes there is no problem with that they'd probably enjoy the company but try not to over crowd the tank. if you have or think of any questions you have  about guppies then please go to http://awesomeguppies.wordpress.com

  5. I don't think it would be a problem. I wouldn't mix male and female unless you want an army of guppies. I would get 6-7 female guppies, 3-4 nerita snails and 1-2 clams. All that would go in a 20 g maybe. Don't do any less than 5 female guppies or they will have a hard time creating a chain of command, and a couple may die.

  6. guppies yes

    snails yes

clam (if you can find a tropical one)

    guppies are tropical fish
