Can you keep a secret or do you end up telling someone else about it?

I can keep a secret, i know alot of things for years and years and have not told them.....Can you keep one or do you tell someone else and then tell them swear not to tell?

I can usually keep a secret depending on what it is about.  If I am told by someone please do not share this with anyone I normally don't.  However if I feel the urge to tell someone I usually spill to my husband.  Also I would never keep a secret if it was about something that was endangering their lives.  So if I have to and feel the need to I can and do keep secrets.  But as my Christian beliefs point out -all will be revealed anyways.  There really aren't any true secrets out there.  Someone always knows.

I can pretty much keep a secret.  If someone tells me something in confidence I just push it to the back of my mind and don't dwell on it constantly.  It's easy that way.

I also don't fall prey to the idea that I can impress someone by telling them something they didn't know.  I think that's usually why people blab.

If I ever do tell it's usually because the person who told me is no longer around (such as a former co-worker), and I'm always aware that it's going to get around so no point in trying to hold the person you tell to a vow of silence.

We're only as good as our word. I'm not saying that it isn't tempting at times after all I am human.Before sharing a "secret" we should think of the consequences if it falls in the wrong hands.Take care.

I can keep a secret, but thats probably because I have a memory capacity of about 2 seconds since i gave birth 6 weeks ago. I can't remember anything unless i write it down.

It must be your moral mindset that makes the decision as to how important it is that the secret not be told.

Not an easy choice.

Keeping secrets (of destructive nature) can be very burdening!

i can keep my secrets but the gossip secrets i find really hard to keep so me and my bestfriend tell each other everything and once we tell each other we dont feel the need to tell anyone else

I am pretty good about keeping a secret. Especially in the workplace. Sometimes blurting things out will get the person's reputation hurt or give you the reputation of being the blabber mouth. The only time I would tell somebody something is if the person is downright wilfully mean or weird. I usually warn people about certain things.

LOL.. I am a big mouth on SOME things.. It depends on the secret.  

Like I found out a friend was bisexual and I told my hubby.. That was all though.

I feel free to say it on here because I don't think any of you would know who I was talking about.

Like I said it all depends on the secret.. Pretty much whether it makes no difference or a huge one.. I tell my husband EVERYTHING tho.. So don't trust me.. LOL

I keep secrets if they are my friends secrets,however I can never keep my own secrets to myself,always have't to tell a friend!

No i can't. I tell someone who doesn't know the people concerned and also give fictitious names & places. No telling them to swear because they don't know (who or where)
