  1. You could but it will probably be illegal, even if you get a hybrid.. You know that you have to have an abundance of land, and constantly be the alpha with them? They also HAVE to only eat raw meat, and since you can't buy from a local wal-mart because of the hormones, you'd have to go to a butcher and it is timely and expensive. They are PACK animals, also so you'd have to get more than one and have a permit. But mind you they are also WILD ANIMALS. That should be left in the wild. They do not have the instinct to trust people like domesticated dogs, cats and etc do.

  2. That depends on your city, state.  Wolfs are not allowed in most cities and in many states you must live out in the country with lots of land.

Wolfs are beautiful animals.  You should read the 1950s classic by  R D Lawrence, "The North Runner" about his hybrid wolf dog Yukon.  It's to this day my favorite story about wolves and is in constant reprint because it so beautifully written.

Please do your research for your area on owning a wolf.  There are many pros and cons to having wolves.  Hunters, ranchers and neighbors will hate you (you will be blamed for every pet attack) and there are legal issues with just owning one.

  3. I would not do so. It is a wild animal and has different instincts. In other words it might behave differently than your average domesticated dog.

  4. I'm curious as to why you would post this in the "rodents" section...

  5. absolutely not, they are wild animals, they are not tame and the only way to obtain one would be to catch it from the wild, which is illegal

  6. you may need a permit.

did you notice that you asked this in the rodent section.

  7. Can you, probably. Safely, probably not.

  8. yeah you can but do you really want a pet that can kill you

  9. Depending where you live, possibly.

But, for a pure wolf, you will need a permit.

Some areas, you will need a permit regardless, even if it is a hybrid.

Chances are, you'll be lucky if you can get a hybrid. Percentage counts.
