  1. Umm....... NO not even close

  2. Maybe, if you were able to shove it down his throat completely and ruptured his stomach and intestines.  But it would take a while for him to die, and in the mean time he will tear you up, and you would face bleeding to death or at the very least an extended stay in the hospital.

  3. no i dont think so, but a 22 might do the trick, i mean i have a crossman pellet gun for killing hawks and half the time it dosent kill them in one hit with 10 pumps and a hollow point pellet

  4. >>Kill a wild hog, with a Gamo Big Cat, using PBA Raptor pellets<<

Maybe if you use the Gamo Hunter Extreme, along with PBA Raptor pellets. Then, tie a hog that's already half dead to a tree a few yards away >then shoot it through the eye. "MAYBE"  ****

In real life, you would have almost no chance of killing a "wild" hog with a Gamo air rifle, using Gamo PBA Raptor pellets, or any other pellet for that matter.

Later:**** I guess there was at least one person that does not recognize sarcasm lol

Gamo fps claims for their rifles are misleading enough, we don't need to help them out!!

    Gamo Big Cat =26.0fpe

The Big Cat is nowhere near a 26.0fpe rifle - Gamo "claims" "up to" 1200fps with Gamo PBA Raptors, those pellets are 5.4gr NOT 8gr - That would be 17.27fpe "IF" the claim was valid. Good luck finding anyone that has been able to duplicate one of Gamo's "claims"

Gamo claims "up to" 1600fps with their Hunter Extreme using PBA Raptors - I don't know of anyone else that has cracked 1400fps with the same combo.

Gamo's most powerful rifle, the Hunter Extreme is more like 23.50fpe

  5. Quackenbush airgun yes.

    Gamo, no.

Unless while this animal is charging you. you throw these fancy *** PBA pellets in its face(much like sand in the eyes) and while it is franticly pawing( I know they have hooves, so maybe HOOVING) at their poor, pellet irritated eyes, you then club it repeatedly over the head until you collapse into a pile of sweat and broken Gamo pieces.

You then unholster your Glock 10mm, and put a 180 gr

    Gold Dot into its brain.

Then, and only then, you may suceed.

    Suckaa Foo!

  6. Sigh. You saw that stupid air gun hog hunting video didn't you? That guy in the video is an irresponsible idiot!

Hunting hogs with an air gun is NOT LEGAL in most places for many good reasons. It is not legal because air guns are grossly underpowered for big games. You can't guarantee clean kills on big games with an air gun. Shot placement was too critical and there's no room for error. You could wound a lot more games or leave games dying in the field instead of bagging them. A hunter should put down his game as quickly and as humanely as possible. Big games could be dangerous and this is especially true with wounded games. The hunter could be seriously injured or even killed. Hog hunting with an air gun should only be viewed as a stunt.

  7. ummm...No.

Hogs are Very strong and have tough hide and solid skulls.

Not only that, they can be very dangerous.

You shoot one with a pellet gun, it's likely to hand you your ****....

I'd stick with much larger calibers for wild hogs.

  8. The Big Cat shoots 8 grain pellets at 1000-1200 fps for a maximum yield of around 26 ft-lbs of energy. That's not enough for medium to large game like a hog. Additionally a .177 pellet probably wouldn't penetrate deep enough to hit any thing vital. If you try using it on a hog, all you'd likely do is p**s the hog off and maybe get gored if you're not careful. If you want to hunt hogs you need something like a .243, .257 Roberts, .25-06, 7mm-08, .270 Winchester, .30-30, .308, or .30-06 (depending on the size of the hogs you'll be hunting).

  9. Maybe, but since hogs have to eat too go for it and something will get a good meal...

  10. No.  Not unless you had it tied up and put one in it's eye.

  11. you might make it bleed..and then youll have a pissed off hog trying to kill you. try gettin a REAL gun.

  12. You might be able to kill a small pig. Hit it on the head really hard with the butt of the gun, and forget the pellet.

  13. No way .

  14. I find the curiosity of our party is pretty well satisfied with respect to this animal."

Capt. M. Lewis summing up in his journal after several near death experiences with grizzly bears.

  15. May be a new-born wild hog but not an adult one.

    H

  16. Hunting wild hogs with a pellet gun is about like hunting grizzly bears with a switch.  You can do it but the results are not going to be what you want.  Mr. wild hog is going to have your tender a$$ for dinner.  Wild hogs have a very thick hide and under that hide is a very thick gristle shield over their front shoulders that some bullets will not even penetrate.  You are going to need a LOT more firepower that a pellet gun to hunt wild hogs.

  17. If you are in the woods and a hog comes close to you and the pellet gun is all you have, I suggest dropping the pellet gun and run. You may be able to run a little faster without it.
