What do you mean CAN I kill someone.  I CHOOSE not to kill someone.  I am a citizen of the USA and a resident in the city I have lived in and owned land in (etc)for  so many years and we have an adequate police force.  Citizens do not have to go out and kill someone.  The Police take charge of matterrs of that sort.

Not allowed.  Buddhist.  They will be reborn as a lower form and I have compassion for them.  Well, at least I try!  

However, if someone was threatening harm to my Husband, Son or Daughter I would do *anything* to protect them and deal with the karmic consequences once they were safe.  I would be ashamed of myself tho.

No, I determined while in the Army that I could easily shoot someone that was an immediate threat to me, but simply could not shoot someone that did not pose a threat to me or people I support in life.  Some can easily rationalize killing another human, I can't.  However, since I knew a C.O. medic in Korea that killed 6 Chinese with his 45 when they were overrun, one can never be sure how they will react, until the situation presents itself.

no, they would kick me out of a murder jury.  It is interesting but at Saddam's hanging I didn't like that they harassed him so much at the end but other people I talked to said he deserved it.  I guess we aren't suppose to come down to their level.

Killing someone may be easy. It's having to deal with it emotionally later. To kill a second time takes an immoral person who doesn't feel consequences of prior actions. Or... you have been desensitized by your life just as soldiers are in training. If they can be made to handle it, then certain life circumstances can do the same to a person/ child.

How many people do you think Hitler personally and literally killed?  It's one thing to fire a gun, swipe or stab with a knife, poison, strangle or throw a person off of a high place, but it's quite another to sign your name on some political document ordering others to do it for you.
