  1. You can as long as it is comfortable for you. Chances are tho the bigger you get the less comfortable it will be for you. I am 4 months and showing. I can still lay on my belly, but I have to have one leg bent kinda upwards (if that makes sense) so all my weight isnt on my belly.

  2. Yes you can, as long as it is comfortable for you. Usually when you become increasingly larger it becomes too uncomfortable for you to do anymore. When you near your due date it is impossible!

It is more dangerous for you to lie flat on your back in late pregnancy than anything else. You aren't supposed to do that at all!

I am a "tummy sleeper" -that is I like to sleep on my belly. I was worried when I became pregnant the first time. But I bought a large body pillow and learned to sleep quite comfortably on my left side with my body wrapped around and completely supported by my giant pillow. It was awesome.

PS-sleeping on your left side is best for you and baby.

  3. i only could up until my 3rd month ( I'm 24 weeks and 5 days). Now it's way too uncomfortable and I hate it cause i'm a belly sleeper!  Then When i have the baby I would have to get used to sleeping on my belly again.  For now it's on my left side with a body pillow.

  4. I've never been pregnant but I agree that you can lay on your stomach as long as it is comfortable for you.

One of my firends did that all the time and one day woke up and the baby had shifted more towards her side (the side of her tummy).

Needless to say she panicked.  But her doctor told her that it was alright and the baby was very protected.

YES, her tummy eventually regained the perfect front bubble not too long after her waking up.

Congratulations!  I think your baby-cakes will be fine especially with you getting some good sleep while you can!

  5. It is best to lay on your Left side - better blood flow.  But I was able to lay on my tummy until 3 months.  Also avoid laying on your back after 14 weeks.

  6. in early pregnancy yes but i would say once u start showing or once ur 4months u shouldn't its better for u to start getting use to sleeping on ur side

  7. you can lay on your stomach as long as it is comfortable for you to do. i did until i was about 26 weeks before it became too uncomfortable. regardless, at no time will it hurt your baby.

  8. it depends on how far along you are i mean right now at 36 weeks i physically can not lay on my belly nor would i want to. in the beginning before you start showing you can but after a while it will be become very uncomfortable

  9. I thnk its ok durin early pregnancy(i did it) however i dnt thnk ur spose 2 do it in later pregnancy..i'm 30wks now and avoid doin it as i have read sumwer that it isnt good 4 the baby..so i wont b takin any risks!! All the best!

  10. i always hear alot of people say no to this. But i am a tummy sleeper. When i asked my midwife she assured me that as long as im comfortable sleeping that way then its fine.

the baby is very well protected and it wont hurt them.

  11. I still do at 3 months.

  12. As long as you are comfortable with it!  The farther along you get in pregnancy & the bigger your belly gets you will not be able to .. its kind of impossible unless your belly doesnt get that big.

  13. Yea, in early pregnancy, there's no harm.  As you get further, you literally won't be able to... so enjoy it while you can!

  14. I'm 28 weeks and I still can lay on my belly, but it's usually more comfortable to do the body pillow and one leg up thing. Sometimes I lay on top of the body pillow because mines really soft and squishy and forms a little nest for my belly. I think it probably depends more on how big you are around and how much you weigh. As you get farther along there's less room for the baby, so I'd imagine it would be pretty uncomfortable for you and the baby.
