Do you still have the right to carry a firearm unconcealed without a carry and conceal permit. The permit just lets you be able to conceal right?

  1. I'd say that its the same in that state as it in other states.. that you have to have a liences and have the weapon concealed..

  2. No. According to Tennessee law, a civilian handgun permit is required for  both open and concealed carry.

This is an excellent question as some states have no law governing open carry but do require permits for concealed carry of firearms.

  5. its never a wise decision to carry with  out a permit. its not a problem on your own property, and certain rural areas allow it, but there are zoning cosiderations involoved. also a little infraction known as "going armed to the terror of the people" for areas its not allowed. and its a big deal. do some research.

  6. No it is your RIGHT to "bear" arms. It wouldn't be a right if you had to ask permission in order to exercise it. The laws are different in every state, but this is how it should work everywhere if only people actually stood up for their rights and stopped letting the government trample them all. You don't need any license or permit to open carry a firearm in my state and hopefully your state respects your second amendment rights as well.

  8. If it is unloaded and you have no way of loading it relatively quickly, yes.  In Tennessee, it is called a Carry Handgun Permit, and is good for either concealed or open carry.
