  1. NO!  Whether they "sing" or not. (probably should "sign").  There are too many laws being broken.  Unlawful assembly.  Assault and battery. Insurance coverage and liabilities; just to name a couple.  Remember the movie "Fight Club"?  It was a secret, because it was illegal.

  2. As long as its not for money!

  3. While it is legal to do this you should consider other locations to host such an event so that you can maximize both the fighting experience and the viewing experience alike. Good places are usually in wide open areas like a back yard or open field. Also consider the fighting type; whether its boxing or an oriental martial arts the terrain could greatly affect the result and quality of the fight

  4. Yes

  5. the thing is that i dont rekon that insurence would cover any damages...in my city we can go to the local gym and 'rent' the ring for a fight...no refs but its fun

  6. No.

It would violate local laws on the zoning for the venue - your house isn't zoned for this.

And your insurance agent never contemplated this use for the property, so your insurance is likely invalid for this type of fight when one of the fighters gets hurt and sues you anyway.  Exemption clause are VERY tricky - it's almost impossible to enforce them.

  7. yes. but the first rule of fight club is don't talk about fight club

  8. It may be legal, but if it is your garage you are at great risk of liability (getting sued) even if they signed a waiver.

It is probably up to the state or local government as to whether it is legal, so I can't answer that. If people are betting on the fights, the IRS probably wouldn't be happy about it.

But the big problem is being sued for everything you own and then some because the contract will likely be found invalid and your insurance company definitely won't pick up the tab.

Do yourself a favor, instead just watch the movie "Fight Club" with the volume really high and smack yourself around the room.
