Can you lie with a straight face or, your face gives you away so easily?

When I was kid, I always lie to get out of trouble but mother will soon figure me out.

Today as a responsible adult,I try to be real with everyday people on the job or society in general. I don't like b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t hustlers. I intentionally lie to them to play them at their own game.

when i lie, i cant look directly into the eyes of whoever im lying to, otherwise i'd blurt out laughing :p

I am a professional actor here in the U.S.. So it's pretty easy for me.

This is why we have to go back to basics.

When one knows he is lying,  his face will betray him.   That is why, to convincingly lie,  one has to lie to himself first, that he is not lying.  After that, the rest is easy.

For me,  if I don't go through with this routine first,  my face shall enevitably betray me.

i can. and there's so many ways to make you look like you're saying the truth, a straight face is just the common option.

telling a lie for me is not such a bad thing. we are all cruel, insensitive, inconsiderate beings. we do things that hurt (intentionally or not) other people mostly the ones we cared for.

and "lies" serves as a cushion not to hurt them so much.

I can not lie.  I have only known one person I loved enough to lie to make feel better and she is gone now.

It sure is difficult to lie with a straight, innocent looking face. Not unless you practice and have done that a lot...it could be a child's play for all you know.

But for me, I would end up fidgeting and sweating. Not my forte.

I am very transparent. I look angry when I am angry, and my face also shows when I am glad. I can never be an actor, I will not be able to play the role asked of me.
