Can you lose significant weight on treadmill?

I just started working out recently-->20 min, inclination 6 or 7, speed 3 on treadmill, will that shed pounds off? or should I do it for more than 20 mins?

  1. yes any exercises is better than none but when you get comfortable with that maybe in a week try five more min. then so on an so


  2. Yes, if pushing yourself to 85% of your MHR for a minimum of 30 minutes a day.

  3. I assume you are running, not walking.  Here is the rule of thumb.  When it comes to cardio, you should keep your heart rate going for at least 30 minutes. So you might want to increase your workouts by 10 minutes.  You will reach your goal much faster AND you will gain strength and endurance. Good luck and keep up the good work

    By they way, how many days a week are you doing this?  I say no less tahn 4 times a week.
