  1. It would not make a difference, running is running, you burn the same amount of calories both way. To help you run better on the treadmill, elevate it by 1% to mimic outside running and help relieve the stress on your hamstring.

I saw a new caption on Tv about a boss that put 4 treadmills in this building for his employees to use while working. they would walk at around 1.5 to 2 mph for there 8 hour work day.  Not only did all of them burn aolt of fat, but there had no errors in their work and actually did better. this was in a medical building.  

    Burning fat will occur arounf 115 to 130 bpm for your heart. walk at about 3.5 to 4mph for 30minutes. your rip about 350 calories or more off. 3500 calories is 1 pound. you do this for a week, youll notice the difference

  3. Its complicated.  You can loose weight running on the treadmill only.  This is for the short term though.  You must be careful that you do not eat more calories then you burn. If your body builds muscle in your legs then you can actualy gain weight.  

    Do not over do it. When you exceed your target heart rate you body will demand more calories, more food.  The trick here is not to exceed your target heart rate.  You body then will not crave more food, but in fact burn stored fat.  To do this you need to understand heart rates and all the associated principles.  

    But, I guarantee you that you will get bored of the treadmill.  Mix things up and try to join a gym.  Its all that more easier when you do.

  8. yes, but i suggest, if your tredmill does this, to use the weight loss function on it, mine does. it adds perfect inclines, and speeds, it works really well

  9. The treadmill will do the job.  If you would rather run outside, what is the temperature at 6:AM?

The number of calories expended exercising have not been found to be adequate for weight loss.  Running would be good for your heart, but weight training will help you build up muscles so you can burn more calories at rest.  Ultimately it's all about the diet.  You must consume significantly fewer calories.
