My office has chorded landline telephones. I did some searching but couldn't find a product that allows you to convert a chorded telephone to a chordless telephone. Is there anything out there like this? Some kind of wireless adapters that you plug into the telephone and receiver perhaps?

  1. no......because you will need the router ( build-in) from the main base phone!!

  2. Hi chisoxfa: You cannot convert the corded phone to cordless. A cordless phone uses a base unit which in really a two way radio. The cordless unit is also a two way radio. I have a suggestion for you & it does work. I am assuming a single telephone line. Buy an adapter that plugs into the tel.jack. Plug the corded phone into the adapter. Now plug a cordless phone base unit into the other adapter jack. Both phones will ring on an incoming call. Either phone can answer. If both phones answer, you have a three connection. Either phone can hang up & the remaining party will still be connected to the caller. This is the same arrangement in your home if you have a cordless phone. Now if you have multiple line phones or a key system, this can still be done but I will need more information. Buy only cordless phones that have DIGITAL transmission between the base & cordless units, NOT ANALOG. I hope this information is helpful.  exbelltel
