Can you make a list of things i'll need for fair?!

I need a list of things i'll need to take to my fair. I ride english only. And fair is a week. i need every thing from basics to things i would never think of! thanks in advance! and i only do walk trot pleasure and showmanship english! i will prob ride every day at fair!

you should google a "horse show camp trip check list"

alter the search criteria if you need... but that will help you out a lot. that way you can read threw it and alter it however you need!

DON'T FORGET YOUR HELMET!

assuming your in 4-h going to the fair, you'll  need that one...

Lead rope (2 just in case)

Grooming kits (brush, combs, hoof pick)

Water bucket

Some food for your horse

Horse treats

Shovel

Bucket

Towel

Sponges

Your riding clothes

Helmet

Food and water for you

And I think that's it.

Think about what stuff you need when you groom, tack up and ride your horse, then feed and water your horse too. Pretty much, you're just going for a ride (although a bigger deal one) so you need all that stuff, plus your gear, and stuff to look neat and tidy.

there a some things you may not have or need like 2 sleezies..i do tht cuz i have more than 2 and they usually get dirty and fly mask cuz my horse is a POAso he has pink skin so he is always covered..head to hoof cuz he gets sunburnt..but then again he is a major show horse. and there are some things like dale chavez show halter in there cuz those r reminding me wht show halter to bring. so i dont bring my quater horses halter or something. and like just yeah this is just a copy and paste of my show list for fair

I look at some of the answer, all are good. Are you going to spend the night at the fair, or go home every night. If you are going to stay at the fair, then remember the thing use personaly use and for sleeping. The biggest thing, MONEY, as you will have to feed youself, also do not forget the horse feed. When I was racing, some people had to carry horse water, be cause there horses would not drink any water. I do not know if it is a local fair or not, but make sure you have your horses health paper, and in Florida a negitive conging certifite. MARK ALL OF YOUR STUFF, just like summer camp. Also fly spray. If you will have to cool your horse out, a horse blanket. I use to carry three horses blankets, One was just for me.

I'm not very sure because i have never tack en my mare to the fair. But i will next year. Tell me how it goes! lol.

But some things i can image you will need are.

Brush, come, pick, saddle shiner, leather polish, hoof shinner, shampoo and conditner, saddle, and bridle (lol). feed, water buckets, And just incase i would get one of those things were you dont need water to wash your horse. You can find them at the feed store. TREATS! Flyspray, harness, back up harness, lead rope, back up lead rope. feed buckets, um i cant think of any thing else oh wait this is very important and you should not forget YOUR HORSE! lol jk

Well here is what i brought to the fair



Grooming-   Shampoo, Conditioner ,Detangler ,sweatscraper , hard brush, fine curry, face brush, soft brush, hoof pick,mane and tail brush, rubber bands ,the D braider, braiding comb, yarn, dandy brush ,curry and show sheenbridal ,saddel and 2 pads,water bucket,  4 bails of hay, 2 bags of oats,bell boots, travel boots, fly spray and lots of it and a hose not to mention all your stuff hope I help

Just go out to the barn tommorrow and right down everything you use. Then go home and think about what special show stuff you will use that you dont use when riding normally (saddle pad, girth, bridle, helmet, ect). Then you will want to bring:

black shoe strings

bug spray

sun screen

rain jacket

extra halter/lead

water and snacks

Everyone has differnt things that they bring to shows that might be a little strange or weird. My thing is that I like to bring 2 or 3 of everything. I am always paranoied that something will break or get lost.
