Can you make a tooth loose that is not ready by wiggling it?

My daughters friend has lost a molar and she is only 9. I realize every child looses teeth at different times. She said it was not loose at all she just kept wiggling it. So can you make one come out that is not ready? Of course I know a tooth can be knocked out etc.

  1. In order for a tooth to be removed by a child merely wiggling it, the roots must have already dissolved.  This happens fairly frequently, when kids just don't realize a tooth is near to coming out.

Nine isn't an unusually young age to lose a molar.

    All the best.

  2. yeah my little sister did she kept wigling it till it got loose and a few months later theres the tooth

  3. Typically, no.

  4. I don't think so. It doesn't make sense that it wasn't loose and she kept wiggling it. I lost my teeth early and they were all gone before I was 10, so it's not OMG-I'm-A-Freak or anything to lose molars then.
