  1. All States have different laws reguarding this. For example here in Wisconsin the law states it is illegal to make a U-Turn at any intersection that is controlled. By controlled they mean even if it has a stop sign you can't do it. How ever some local governments have even taken it farther. In Some local cities or towns you are not allowed to make any U-Turns at all. I might remind you to look at the "UPS" solution to this same problem. The only difference was they were looking to save money. They ("UPS") have adopted a right turn only policy and are expecting to save about 2 million gallons of fuel this year. So rather than a U_Turn just turn right.


  2. Yes you can as long as there are no signs that prohibit it but I would not advice it...
