I forgot to get a bottle of club soda when I was up at the store, and it's too hot outside to go back up there just for that! Does anyone know if I can make homemade club soda by mixing water and baking soda? If so, what is the ratio of water to soda? Thanks!

  1. it will fizz for a bit but not sure about taste.

soda water, also known as club soda, was produced in the home by "charging" a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding carbon dioxide. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler

  2. Sorry, but it will taste strange and the fizz will be very temporary and not really bubbly.

  3. no, but that is good for a stomach ache
