"This kitchen is a mess."

"What a jerk."

It can be super short, it just has to have one or both of those phrases. It's for an inside joke I have with my dad....thanks a bunch!

  1. this kitchen is a mess

the broken china on the floor

was my favorite kind- only the best

and the food that stained the walls

    was worse than the graffiti

you would find on bathroom stalls

looked like a tornado went through

    breaking plates and spilling food

and spilled in the middle was my prized stew

and there the marauder sat with a smirk

and sadly, the only comment that went through my mind

was the phrase "what a jerk"

it's a little corny but maybe that would help you out a bit.

  2. what a jerk

    with all those perks

    now look at my dress

    this kitchen is a mess.

  3. The kitchen is a mess

    My hands feel dirty

    dishes piled up

    like a busy interstate

He said he would do it

    so I nodded to sleep

    Its 2:00am -everything's the same

    What a jerk-he left it

  4. The cat sat on the cookies that I baked for Dad

I was happy, now I am sad

    What a jerk

All that work, the cookies are flat where the cat sat

    This kitchen is a mess.

  5. This kitchen is such a mess;

I've no time for all this work,

And as I clean and bemoan this unfairness,

    I think: what a jerk.

  6. I  honestly confess

    This kitchen is a mess.

    To clean it up would take quite a bit of work;

My dad says "do it", and I say "what a jerk!"

  7. Pain.

    Hunger.

    Must find something to eat.

    He left us nothing.

    What a jerk.

    I look around.

    All over I see evidence.

    They were here.

    This kitchen is a mess.

    Devastation; and they're gone.

  8. He told me my break would come.

But he's still sitting around like a bum.

I'm a teenage mother without the perks.

    What a jerk!

How could they make me be the one,

To undo all that they had done?

    This kitchen is a mess.

We won't even mention the rest!

    I don't see how I can be

    Expected to bathe and feed

    Children that aren't even mine

My brother leaves them to me all the time!

  9. "the kitchen is a mess" she screamed

    falling to the floor, sobbing

what a wasted youth; a wasted life

    serving those so ungrateful

"what a jerk" she whispered, legs splaying in shards of china and glass

"what have i become" she choked

    watching their children,outside-joyful; joyful

    products of hasty decisions

      altered realities

    unaware of their fates

    just enjoying the afternoon breeze
