Has anyone done this.? is it worthwhile.

what are the pros and cons.

  1. Not a lot, I wouldn't have thought.  Maybe enough to earn some decent pocket money but not enough to do it as a full-time job.

    Let's put it this way - the only income you realistically would make is through charging an entry fee.  This could be, say £10 in London, or £5 elsewhere.  Out of this you may need to pay rental for the venue, depending on what type of venue you are using.  You will certainly need to pay for all your administrative costs, and realistically you will need to spend quite a bit on marketing to get anyone in the door.  You may need to pay for entertainment, such as to hire a DJ or a speaker or something.  And if you are charging a lot to get in, then you may need to include at least one drink or else people will think that it's not worth it.

    Besides, how often are you going to have these nights?  There's going to be a limited client base meaning that it won't be feasible to do it too often.

    Charge £3.00 at the door

    Rest of money goes on drinks

    You could even do speed dating
