Can you make money as a public adjuster?

  1. Sort of. Public adjusters, in my opinion, are unethical. Maybe that's because I'm an adjuster. A public adjuster typically inflates the claim for more than what it is worth. The reason for that is because public adjusters normally get a percentage of the claim value. If the the PA inflates the claim only a small amount then it's the insured who loses out because after the PA's cut, they get less than their claim value. PA's aren't respected much in the insurance industry. If you want to make money, try being a IA (independent adjuster). Its seasonal work, but you can make good money.


  2. It's possible to make a ton of money as a public adjuster. You just need to not have a conscience, be able to lie to your client, lie to insurance companies, conspire with contractors and sometimes commit fraud.
