Can you make music with a leaf between your lips?

Apparently an ivy leaf is supposed to work well.

  1. I have never tried with a leaf between my lips but have used a piece of the blue rain plants leaf to make 'music'. When you tear the leave in half, it has a very thin membrane and when you put that facing forward between your front teeth and your lips, sounds can be produced.


  2. Yes you can it is an old trick, but I do not know about the ivy leaf, is ivy not poisonous? We did it with an orange leaf (lemoenblaar). You can also blow on an empty Coke bottle if you are very bored.

  6. if you do it right, yes. You probably saw it from Asian/Chinese movies.

  7. Yes, in my village they do it all the time. Take 02 leaves, put one on top of the other so that outer side of both face each other. Keep a very small gap in between them and take them to your lips. Pass very wind very softly between the small gap. It gives a shrill kind of music
