  1. Not that I know of

  2. I don't think it's possible.

But, here is a search for play dough recipes for you.

Well, there might be one I know of that has peanut butter and powdered sugar in it.

It would be one of the edible doughs.

Hope this does help you out.  Good luck.

  3. I think there are recipes for various types of food-based clays which use other flours besides wheat flour (which we just call "flour" in the US).  Other flours would be cornstarch (which is a flour made from corn), or rice flour, etc. And "bread clay" already has the flour built into the white bread that you use to make it.

You can also make various other kinds of air-dry clays from paper-based products (paper pulp, sawdust, etc.) as well as from sand or other materials, that have no starch, because they've used thinned down permanent white glue as their adhesive instead of a food-based starch. In fact, almost anything that's fine-grained or powdery can be turned into a "clay" with thinned white glue... one food one is cinnamon + applesauce .

Here's a similar link to the one above that should have all kinds of play clays that can be made at home:

(You can also *buy* cheap air-dry clays at a craft store --from the cheapest like Celluclay or Mexican Pottery Clay to more expensive ones like Creative Paperclay, Makins Clay, etc.)
