Question:

Can you make the "Wont Get Fooled Again" intro sound on a les paul?

I'm getting an Epiphone les paul really soon, and I've been watching some online reviews of the guitar and I saw someone turn down the volume down completely on one pickup and leave the volume on the other pickup and then play a chord and quickly switch between the pickups to get a sort of reverb "in and out" type of sound. When I saw this the intro to "Won't get fooled again" by The Who came directly to mind (you know the synthesizer part that Pete Townshend composed). So, I was wondering anyone think its possible to do that using the guitar and not a synthesizer, and if so, does anyone have any links to a video or a written lesson, maybe some tabs, that shows you how to do it?

  1. Don't have any links, but if you turn the volume down on your bridge pickup, wouldn't it be way easier to just use a wah pedal? Or if you have a good amp, use the reverb filter.
