  1. yes, but only with plants with no seeds like runners. put it in water first and then when the roots develope, you put it in soil.

  2. You can by a  root stimulant/hormone powder at most large gardening places. Mint spreads like a weed , you need to plant it inside a little confine or it will take over the whole area.

  3. ofcourse you can grow plant for which roots have been cut.. u just have to apply little amount of auxin at the tip of root initiation part.. after a few days u will notice significant increase in growth of roots for the plant.. auxins used are Indole acetic acid, Indole butyric acid, 2- 4 diphenoxyacetic acid etc...

  4. Just buy root stimulant/hormone powder.

  5. You can use root stimulators, but you have to make sure that you cut it below a "joint" or knuckle.  (where the next leaf will grow from)  if you just have the stem in the water, it won't root since that's not where anything can grow from.  I root plants all the time, & don't use root stimulator, but it's not a bad idea.  But when they do root & I plant them, I give them some vitamin B (or VHF plant food) in the water.  It always works for me, I have (too many) plants all over, lol.

  6. My mom used to do that, and it worked, so just put them in dechlorinated water and let it sit there for awhile.
