Can you marry your first or second cousin??

I just saw on this tv show that this lady married her first or second cousin and her family had a problem with it. What do you think??

From a legal standpoint, you can certainly marry your cousin (1st, 2nd, 3rd removed, whatever). But this is not India, so you have to think about what family & friends will think. I guess if you didn't grow up around them--nah, it's gross no matter which way you look at it.
