  1. Yes. You can measure pain.

    How?

You head is connected to hundereds of wires to the computer, and when you experience pain a graph is shown on the computer.

    This works like brain-mapping.

  2. It's actually a requirement in hospitals. The way I measure it is that I ask the patient, "How much are you hurting?" and he tells me.

If you're asking whether there's such a thing as an objective and accurate dolorimeter, then no.

  3. I would just add pain is also a "will" function - e.g.knowing what pain could cause   one can take for a very short time / some sec./ an object with t of a boiling water and to have no injuries

So - this is the will control and pain is smth relatif

Eye  can have different sens for pain from hand and leg?Mind can perhaps allow what level of pain for different zones?

  4. Yes, but not effectively, because everyone's pain tolerance is different.

  5. Yes, but it is a very subjective measure, and will vary from person to person, or animal to animal.  There are actually behavioral tests for measuring pain threshold in laboratory animals, and in humans.  Again, the actual measurement of pain is subjective, and not objective.

  6. Actually, you can measure the threshold for pain, which varries from individual to individual.  For example press a needle point into a (volunteer) subject's skin (at different locations) until he/she registers pain.  Determine how much needle pressure he/she can tolerate before ending the event.  Use a spring loaded (calibrated) needle.
