Can you mix Vicodin and Oxycontin?

I have been on about 3 different pain killers in the last two weeks, i just was on vicodin 10mgs every 6hrs , and took one this am and then got oxycontin prescribed to me today and it hasn't worked either...nothing i have tried has worked, i feel no relief, no "high" like people say you get , i still have the same amount of pain before i took it , so it depends on the person i guess. I think something internally is blocking these meds from working, it is crazy these strong pain killers aren't working for me at all. I wouldn't take anything unless ur doctor prescribes it, bc supposedly if this stuff works its addictive.
