  1. Yes.  It is called a transfer from one custodian to another.


  2. Usually very easily...just log on to the company that you want to go with...and fill out their " transfer of assets" form...they will contact the other company and you'll be notified when it's complete.

  3. You can move it from one custodian to another.  This is the best way to do it, since no tax has to be withheld if if goes direct from custodian-to-custodian.

    You can also withdraw it, take posession of the funds and open a new account with another custodian, but there are pitfalls if you don't do it properly.
