  1. not on your own but you can get somebody else to gain custody over you

  2. In many States you'd have to be an emancipated minor first.  This is a legal proceeding in which you're declared independent of any caretaker and you can legally take care of yourself.

OR, you might have to get another adult (aunt or some relative maybe) declared as your legal guardian in the place of your parents.

  3. I'm guessing thats the USA?

I live in canada and the age of 16 is when you can move out on your own here but I heard that its 18 for the US

  4. Your probably going to have to stick it out until your 18. If you want to get emancipated it's difficult.

In most states, the three circumstances in which a minor becomes emancipated are: (1) enlisting in the military (requires parent/guardian consent), (2) marrying (requires parent/guardian consent), (3) obtaining a court order from a judge (does not require parent/guardian consent).

In most states, the minor must file a petition with the family court in his/her jurisdiction, formally requesting emancipation and citing reasons why it is in his/her best interest to be emancipated. He/she must prove that he/she can support himself/herself financially. Many states require that the minor have been living separate from his/her parent(s)/guardian(s) for a period of time; however, that requires the consent of the parent(s)/guardian(s) in order to not classify simply as "running away".

My Family was crazy too, I left home at 17

    Good Luck

  5. *  GEORGIA: OCGA 19-7-1. (a) Until he reaches the age of majority, the child shall remain under the control of his parents, who are entitled to his services and the proceeds of his labor. In the event that a court has awarded custody of the child to one parent, only the parent who has custody of the child is entitled to his services and the proceeds of his labor.

OCGA 19-7-2. It is the joint and several duty of each parent to provide for the maintenance, protection, and education of his or her child until the child reaches the age of majority, dies, marries, or becomes emancipated, whichever first occurs, except as otherwise authorized and ordered pursuant to subsection (e) of Code Section 19-6-15 and except to the extent that the duty of the parents is otherwise or further defined by court order.

The age of majority is 18 in Georgia. As the above code section clearly states a child (who is any one under the age of 18) cannot just move out from their parent(s) home. The parent(s) are responsible for the child till that child reaches 18.

Exceptions to this rule: If a child gets pregnant, that child can get married without parental consent and after the marriage will be consider emancipated. The teen can become emancipated which requires a ruling from a judge and in the state of Georgia on an annual basis this happens about a dozen times. The teen can join the military with parental consent at age 17. These are the only exceptions to the above code sections. .  For emancipation you would need to prove that it is in your best interest to be living on your own.
