Can you move out if im 17?

I live in Michigan. I will be 17 this December, but since my mom has married my step dad ( almost 6 years ago) life at my home has been h**l. There has been a few incidents where I have called the police because my stepdad and I have gotten ito fist fights, and in one case my arm had been broken and I had brusies all over my body. But the police did nothing to help.Ive tried to tell my mom that i dont want to live there and that i am moving out at 17, but she says that she will call the police and report me as a runaway. Can I legal move out at 17? or can my mom keep me from doing so?
