  1. According to rule 4.2A in the USGA rules handbook, during a stipulated round, the playing characteristics of a club must not be purposely changed by adjustment or by any other means. this means that when playing a round governed by usga officials or your just playing by the book you cant change them. of course during leisure rounds you can change the wieghts without penaltys.

  2. Legally, no.

    Illegally, yes.

According to the rules of golf, no club can undergoe any alterations to weight, loft, lie, etc... that will alter the performance.  I forget who it was, but earlier this year a PGA Tour player's putter was deemed to have undergone a change that altered the loft (it is unknown how), but anyways, he finished out by putting with an 8 iron and actually did quite well.

  3. you can but it is breaking the rules of golf..you can not alter a club during a round, if you chose to alter it you can do it before the start of a round.

  4. No if you do your breakn the rules homeboy

  5. Well.... Legally no...but if you break your driver you are entitled to get a new one of the same specs...if it has different weights who would know???

  6. Changing the characteristics of a club during a round in competition will result in a disqualification. If weights can be changed you must leave them the same throughout the round being played. You can alter them after 18 holes when the round has been completed.
