Please read what Steve C has to say. I don't know about iChing but the others have made probably the most prolific and important prophecies in all of history, outside of course our religious favorites.

These would be the ones I would focus on if I was looking for ancient prophesy. Of all of them Mother ShiPton had the highest hit rate. My father warned me over forty years ago to pay heed to anything she said. I personally do not believe that she was myth, there is no reason for anyone to compile a bunch of different diaries just to make one person look good. Those that would denounce her were jealous, you'd have to read some of the history to understand why she would have enemies including the church which would have had the power to demonize  her like so many others that have been mentioned by other posters.

Well George Washington for one. He was president for eight years. He could have been president until the day he died. He understood just how important it was to leave the running. It would have just been like another monarchy.
