Can you name ONE item, any item that we use that does not come from the Earth or is a by-product of the Earth?

sunlight and air are indeed from other sources but we have to use objects from the Earth in order to harness the energy from these things, not to mention the fact that by passing through the Earth's atmosphere these energies are in fact sombined with the Earth and now become a part of the Earth

as far as stars being used for navigational purposes there is truth to that but it is not a reliable source, nor one we tangibly use, that is what the question refers to.

    that are used in smoke Alarms.These are element that are not naturally found on earth
