I'm keeping a journal of the important political events of this summer but am having trouble as to figuring out which have been important and which have hardly had any impact. [[For AP Gov]]

  1. 1) Olympics

    2) Obama presumptive nomination

    3) War in Gerogia

    4) Biden's Obama's VP

That's about as much as you're going to get.

  2. The Democratic primary....the Russian-Georgia Conflict....President Bush signing some kind of a timetable-pullout time with Iraq after criticizing Democrats for the same ideas..... the Greening of America and the danger of carbon fuels, along with the bizarre weather in the Midwest and the fires in California...the loss of thousands of jobs in auto manufacturing......the mortgage meltdown...the empty cupboards at our Food Banks....the abysmal lack of Health Care....the shooting of innocent citizens in a college, a church and the workplace.....the deaths by Tasers...the electrocution deaths of 16 soldiers....Bhutto's murder in Pakistan....the ouster of Pakistan's Musharrif....the heated battles in Afghanistan....the pitiful situation in Darfur...the huge number of untreated Blacks with AIDS in the U.S.A.....the search for Alternative Fuels.

Every one of these situations and events are political, because they will lead to a great many changes.

  3. Here are a few

    - Iraqi government and US military commanders have drafted a proposal to withdraw forces from Iraq.

    - Russia invades Georgia

    - The nominations of Obama and McCain (in the next couple weeks)

    - Musharoff, the president (dictator) of Pakistan stepping down
