  2. Leicester is now classed as a University City and so there are hundreds of students and things that they need to survive for example lots of bars and clubs and take outs etc

    We used to be known for Clothing and boots and shoes - Leicester has always been a hive of industry.  Making and creating all sorts of wonderful things.

    Nowadays we have an awful lot of small sweat shops and clothing manufactures, plus loads of fabric manufacturers.

    We still have a lot of engineering firms and the odd shoe place the University Hospitals are now the main employee it seems as is shown in Wikipedia
