Slapsie Maxie Rosenbloom comes to mind for me. Any others that couldn't break an egg with their punch?

  1. willie pep, kid gavilan

  2. willie pep. kid gavilan, tommy loughran, etc.

  3. HeavyWeight- Chris Byrd!

Lightheavy- Joe Calzaghe- absolutely no power!

Hector "Macho" Comacho!- not a big puncher!

  4. I can name 10 fighters who punches could not bruise a cotton ball. My list is this:

    1. Paulie Mallinaggi - 5 kos to his name. Of course you can atest that to a broken right hand all the time.

    2. Ivan Calderon - Not to mant people think about the little man be this slick boxer has only 6 ko's to his name.

    3. Jake La Motta - Believe it or not he has a iron chin but could not lay a bed.

    4. Pernell Whitaker - Most if not all of this slick boxer's fights went the distance.

    5.  Cory Spinks - 11kos in almost forty fights. He has not ko'd no one since 2001.

    6. Winky Wright - 25 kos out of 55 fights. His last ko came in 2005.

    7.  Emile Griffith - Many people look at his horrific KO of Beret as him having power. Even though he was muscular built he lacked the KO power.

    8. Jimmy Young - Most if not all of his fights went the full rounds.

    9. Chris Byrd - Him fighting as a Heayweight much of career took away his power. If he fought at 168 or 175lbs. his career would have been outstanding with a lot more KOs.

    10.  Kid Gavilan - Soft handed fighter with an iron chin and outstanding ring generalship.

  5. Winky Wright

    Pep

    Ottke

Whoops I gave Iron a thumbs down accidentally.  I meant to give a thumbs up but hit the down by mistake.

  6. I enjoyed reading the Guru's and Devon's answers as much as the question itself, thumbs up to both of them.

Michael Olajida comes to mind, and Ray Leonard had 25 KO's out of 40 fights, not exactly a heavy hitter for an all time great.

Camacho and Pep definitely have to be mentioned again, as great as they were, they certainly didn't KO a lot of guys, same can be said for Pernell Whitaker and Chris Byrd.

Cory Spinks is the worst of the lot, a complete disgrace to power punching, I honestly know girls who hit harder than Cory.

The one that stands out the most in my opinion is Muhammad Ali, he had 37 KO's out of 61 fights, and in my opinion as great as he was, that shows questionable punching power for an all time great heavyweight.

Others that come to mind are Vinnie Pazienza 30 KO's out of 60 fights and Joe Calzaghe.

  7. Remember a guy named Maurice Blocker?

  8. Howard Davis Jr is the only one I don't see already mentioned

  9. paul malignaggi

    myung-woo yuh

    jack britton

    billy conn

emile griffith (probably held back after the paret tragedy)

    barney ross

    billy graham

    pernell whitaker

    tommy loughran

    willie meehan
