Can you name one personal boycott you are sticking to and why?

Here's mine:

Two years ago I stopped buying gas from Citgo since it is directly linked to dictator Hugo Chavez's Venezuela. Others have done the same so Citgo is now spending millions on ads that say "we're part of the community". Three Citgo's have closed in my city recently. I doubt its because of me but I am happy about the closings.

Your boycott and why?

I boycott foreign made cars and American flags made in China.

I DO NOT EVER watch CNN or MSNBC.  Ever.

Nestle-they bought the patent from our local chocolate factory then closed it down - this cost many jobs and the closure of a factory which had been in our city for 70-80 years!

MuckDonalds for crimes against health, nature and the high street!  Haven't been inside of one for over 20 years.

Starbucks and the rest - just because it's terrible coffee and a waste of money.

I boycotted Nestle for years over their promotion of baby milk in developing countries but got sucked back in by step-kids desire for Cheerios!!  Should really get back on the case with that one now.

Anything to do with cancer research as I believe so much money is wasted & patients don't see much in the way of results.

It is VERY difficult, but I refuse to buy any product "Made in China"... Why:  Their human rights record, their dumping products on the US market, etc.

I also won't use Starbucks (just because),  I won't use a Citgo either, nor will I shop at a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc because of their hiring illegals.

I hate racism.  That is why when I go to a restaurant or store, and a black clerk treats me like second class c**p, I report them to the management and refuse to shop there for a month.  I did nothing to them, and what my past relatives did does no matter anymore, they are gone.  I refuse to be treated badly because some black fellow has a racist attitude towards white people.

it may be a small gesture overall, but I think Citgo (Chavez) has supplied free heating oil to indigent American people.

What has Exxon done beyond pad its own pockets?

I have been boycotting Wal*Mart for years.  Wal*Mart kills American communities.
