  1. I'm 14, too!

I really enjoyed the book "Jinx" by Meg Cabot.

My favorite series are "The Sisters Grimm" books. They're not difficult by any means, but they're basically about descendants of the brothers Grimm, and they live in a city with all fairy tale characters.

I don't know whether you've read the Harry Potter books or not. I really liked the 2nd one, Chamber of Secrets. Some of the others weren't all that great to me, although I loved the last book in the series.

I also love the book "Life as we Knew It" by Susan Pfeffer. A 16 year old girl's life completely changes when a meteor crashes into the moon. Weather changes, people are dying, the whole shebang.

    Hope I helped!

  2. Try Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird"; Karen Cushman's "The Midwife's Apprentice," "Catherine, Called Birdy," and "The Ballad of Lucy Whipple"; Jean Craighead George's "Julie of the Wolves" and "My Side of the Mountain"; and Avi's "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle."

  3. the twighlight series by stephenie meyer

coraline (its short but its rele good)

  4. I have to say that you may enjoy Ted Dekker's Trilogy: Red, Black, and White, and Jacob Have I Loved.

  5. Well, at fourteen I had started reading V.C.Andrews works. She's a bit mature, but her stories are very original, shocking albeit taboo, and while her writing isn't fantastic, she's a natural storyteller and can draw in a reader right away.

I'll also recommend Anne Rice novels as she is a magnificent author. Quite possibly the best that I have ever come across. I was thirteen when I first picked her up, so it shouldn't be a problem for you.

Neil Gaiman. He's got a fantastic imagination. I absolutely love him. He's written comics, operas, novels, screenplays; he's incredible. He wrote The Sandman comics, Stardust, Neverwhere, Coraline, Smoke and Mirrors, ect.

Shizuko's Daughter by Kyoko Mori. This is a very depressing novel, but it is so wonderfully written that the themes really shouldn't matter.

The Once and Future King by T.H. White. Ever see Disney's The Sword in the Stone? This book is comprised of four books in one, the first of which is called The Sword in the Stone and is what Disney based its film after. A King Arthur tale and honestly, the most accurate I've ever come across. Not only is it funny, historically correct (sometimes), but it's also a phantasmagoric read.

Tithe by Holly Black. I adore Holly Black. Her stories are always original and engaging, I hope you'll like her.

The Princess Bride. By S. Morg--I mean, William Goldman. If you haven't seen the movie, you should go out and see it as well. There are too many topics to list for this book. Countless. It's about true love and high adventure. Humor and giants. Revenge and the most beautiful woman in the world. Pirates and evil princes. Miracles and roudents of...unusual size.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I do hope that helped. >w<
