Can you negotiate a re-enlistment bonus?

i have never heard of such. a friend said her husband is trying to work them from his $6,000 bonus up to $10,000. can you really do that?

it is as long as it is within reason and the job has a bonus. it also depends on if the career field is critically maned or not. if it is then there is a good chance of getting what he wants. if not i suggest that he takes he can get and not rock the boat.

yup, provided your not way out of reason, you can negotiate. But they can also say no, or tell him to switch to a different MOS for the $ he wants.
