  1. You can negotiate the selling price, like any other car deal, however, you may only realize a $10-20 month difference

  2. Yes you can.  But leasing enormously complicated and they will find another way to s***w it.  Leasing terms are figure on these factors

    (1) selling price

    (2) projected resell price

    (3) interest rate

They take away the resell price from the selling price, then take the difference and amortize the difference using the current loan rates.  That is the lease terms.

If you do NOT understand the above (and I was NOT trying to make it complicated), they there's no way to NEGOTIATE a better term.  One of the reason why car dealers LOVE leasing.

Don't forget that leasing is just LONG TERM RENTING. You do not own it.  You cannot sell it.  You cannot even trade it in.  You are under a contract until it is all over.  So if you go to college and you can't take the car with you the freshmen year, you will have to pay for it - and not use it.

    good luck...

  3. Most lease factors such as interest rate (money factor) and lease-end residual value are set by the lease company, not the dealer. So the only thing left to negotiate with the dealer is the selling price, the price that they lease will be based on.

Negotiating a good lease price has a much greater affect, a bigger difference in monthly payment, then when buying with a loan.

Some dealers try to tell uninformed customers that leases are based on full sticker price. That's nonsense. You negotiate price when leasing just as you do when buying. Make sure you negotiate price, not monthly payments. Here's an article that explains it in more detail:

    Good luck.
