Can you negotiate the drive away price on a car or is that price set?

Dealers have demo stock that they put a price on saying $24990 drive away. Can you still negotiate or is that it?

  1. Do not try to negotiate.The salesman is trying to feed his family.Besides if he hits a HOME RUN off of you,it will make him feel better.


  2. You can negotiate any New car on the market. No one pays the Sticker price. Usually they get at least $500 to about $2000 Bellow. Depends on various factors along with make and Model. Plus a Demo model has a good number of miles on it to qualify it as a used anyway.

    You can go find the invoice price of this car. Get price from bunch of dealers in the area. Go inform this guy that he better give a discount over that price or you walk. This works great if you reach out to the Internet Managers of the other dealerships.

    I am willing to bet that the other dealer will discount their Brand new car to match this guy. You will get a brand new non-Abused car for the same price.
