Out of complete curiosity, can you own a car without registering it?

I know your not meant to drive a car without registering it, but you can keep at home or something right?

  1. im pretty sure this law applies everywhere.

    you can keep it at home and everything.

    you can drive it too, as long as you dont get caught =]


  2. If you just leave it in a garage off the road then its ok but you cannot use it without registering it.

    Its a national Law

  3. In US yes, many people own vehicles that aren't registered.  Some states even allow the use of certain types of unregistered vehicles on public roads (scooters under 5 bhp, farm vehicles etc,). But, in general if you want to drive on the raods then you must register the car, and pay taxes on it annually.

  4. In the USA, Yes you can own it but you cannot drive it
