Can you paint a ceiling last in a newly painted room?

just wondering if I will mess up my paint job if i save my ceiling for the last part

  1. Ceilings should be done first..gravity will be your worst enemy here and you will end up redoing some walls from ladder bumps..the fine mist like spray that comes of of rollers when painting etcetera..
