Can you pay the fee in payments for a restraining order?

My mom wants to get a harrasment restraining order and the fee is $200.00 we dont have all that right now and she wants me to find out if you can pay it in payments?... Can you please right back with the information as soon as possible. We live in Ventura County area.... Oxnard, California. I dont know if you needed that but i just put it in.

PLEASE ANSWER ASAP.

  1. Normally no clerk of court would take installment payments, but she should call them and see if there are income stipulations that might exempt her from having to pay the full or partial amount, call the clerk of court and ask what if any options there are on the fee schedule.

  2. I know of nothing allowing time payments, but if you are financially unable to pay a court fee, you can get a fee waiver.  Ask the court clerk for the form to apply for the waiver.
