Can you people stop preaching global warming?

Well, if you can't stand up to your wife, keep in mind you can always get into a fender-bender.  You'll walk away from it...but the Prius won't.

gas around here is already $4 a gallon.

by the middle of summer, it'll be $5 a gallon.

the way it's going up, it'll be $10 a gallon in a few years.

now you could get a 23 mpg ????

or a 46 mpg prius.

in 10 years, if you drove 20k miles per year, you'd pay

10*20000/23=$34,782 for gas.

or, in your prius, you'd pay $17,391.

gee, almost like getting your car for free.

You should always buy a vehicle based on your needs. Commuting, work, and play are all different things. My wife has a 40mpg car, but drives it more. I have a old pickup but I drive it less. You have to find out what suites your needs. Sometimes the price of a new auto, doesn't justify the fuel savings, especially if your old one is paid off.

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us.  The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.

The Prius is a fine car.
