Can you people tell me what 'Honor' is?

What does it mean to be a person of honor? What does it mean when people say they must reattain their honor, or that they must defend it?

Is it dealing justice to someone who wronged you horribly? What is it?

Honor depends on the individual. Its definition is as ambiguous as the word "justice."  Some people have no honor. They might consider it archaic, or they might just be an a*****e. My personal honor, stemming from Man Code laws, includes:

-Facing everything on my feet

-Accepting responsibility for my own actions

-Defending the weak and helpless

-Acting with chivalry (i.e protect women, treat them with respect)

-Resisting corruption and deception

-Fighting those who seek to manipulate others for their own gain

-Not allowing fear to rule my life
