  1. sorry, cant give as much info as the first answerer did. But- I'm pretty sure you can, but a certain number of signatures aren't going to do the trick. like he/she (i think its a she) said, it has to be reviewed. however, since winter sports are less common than summer sports, I think that the odd are more in our favor than they would be if it was a summer sport. And, it is way past due that synchro should be in the Olympics. like seriously- the olympic commitee needs to wake up and smell the 'new'comers on the ice.

  2. 88 more points to level 2! yay!! um i think you can but it will take awhile

  3. Here's the thing: Synchro skating is big here.  It's big in Europe.  But there's a number like 70 countries have to be actively participating in the sport for it to be considered by the Olympic committee and right now there isn't enough.  I know that countries where it's warmer don't take the sport as seriously as we do.  We could petition all we want, but until other countries start doing it, it's not going to be an Olympic sport.

  4. It's a long process. National Olympic Commitees have to present it to the IOC for consideration. It takes several countries to get it on the agenda, and there's all sorts of voting involved. Then it can be a demonstration sport for an Olympics to see how it goes over.

There is actually pressure to reduce the number of sports in the Olympics -- softball is on the endangered list -- so I don't like the odds.
